Marcia and Geoffrey Green
Marcia and Geoffrey Green have been patrons of San Francisco Opera for more than 30 years. No strangers to opera, Marcia sang with several companies on the east coast including New York City Opera, and Geoffrey is the author of Voices in a Mask, a short-story cycle about grand opera. Both have written articles and teach courses in the arts and literature at San Francisco State University. And at the War Memorial Opera House, Marcia offers insightful and entertaining pre-opera talks before SFO performances.
Marcia and Geoffrey joined the Bel Canto Legacy Society in 2010, to “preserve a living art form that is hundreds of years old, yet is always looking forward.”
“We love San Francisco Opera for its long history of excellence, intimacy, and service as a welcoming family for all who seek it out. Through our bequest and annual gifts, we support the Company’s commitment to vocal artistry and its measured approach to planning for the future.”
