Hampton, Blanche
Cuban-American Blanche Hampton is a tenured dancer of the San Francisco Opera Dance Corps. Coming to San Francisco from the Metropolitan Opera where she performed principal and ensemble roles, the New York City Ballet-trained SAB alumna has also performed and worked with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera, Los Angeles Opera, San Diego Opera, New York City Opera and the Teatro Real in Madrid along and with numerous ballet companies, including the Pennsylvania Ballet. She has also performed as a principal dancer in Plácido Domingo’s Washington National Opera tour in Japan. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Hunter College in New York with a degree in art history.
