Neff, Erin
Erin Neff joined the San Francisco Opera chorus in 1996. She has sung numerous solo roles with the company including appearances in Rigoletto, The Bonesetter’s Daughter, and Simon Boccanegra, Elektra, Louise, and It's a Wonderful Life.
She has sung with West Edge, Santa Rosa Symphony, Opera Parallele, Earplay, Livermore Valley Opera, Composer’s Inc, Festival Opera and Sacramento Opera.
As a director, she has worked with the SF Opera Center, Opera Parallèle, Mendocino Music Festival, Telluride Chamber Music Festival, and Island City Opera. In 2025 she will be directing The Shining for Portland Opera. Ms. Neff also works collaboratively with visual and multimedia artists developing sound installations for museums. Her work has been seen at the SJICA, Oakland Museum, Stanford Gallery, Culver Center for the Arts, and Joshua Tree National Park. She has run a private voice studio for the last 30 years. Erin also works as an advocate and community organizer with California Coalition for Women Prisoners.
